Feeling the Buzz{Feed}
Folks, this might be my Oscars moment.
Naturally, I prepared a speech.
I’d like to thank the people who told me sewing was a piece of cake. It probably is if you actually do it more than once in a blue moon and your bobbin thread isn’t a hot mess.
I’d like to thank the people who chuckled when I explained what I could do with Liquid Stitch and iron-on hem tape. Admit it, my no-sew felt pillows and Christmas pillow were pretty cool.
I’d like to thank the people who said sewing just takes a little bit of patience – something that’s clearly not in my repertoire. So, please, for the love of my sanity don’t pray for me to have more patience. That’s just not nice.
I’d especially like to thank BuzzFeed for including my post about how to fix a hole in a t-shirt with Liquid Stitch in their article about clothing hacks!
Say what? Read it for yourself! I’ll wait.
WOOHOO! How cool is that? I feel totally legit right now to be included in a BuzzFeed article.
My favorite part of the article is the single sentence the writer used to describe my sewing hack.
“Not perfect, but absolutely passable.”
The former publisher in me cringes at the thought of writing on this blog like I’m texting, but that sentence definitely brought about a LOL moment. Maybe even a little ROFL.
I’m not kidding you. I burst out laughing when I read that sentence. Some people might consider those words to be a bit of a diss. Not me though. I think I’ve pretty much made it clear there is no perfectionist running this blog. “Not perfect, but absolutely passable” pretty much sums me up and I’m quite happy about that!
Thanks again BuzzFeed! Most of all, thank you to all of you who visit me on this small part of the internet. It gives me all the warm fuzzies. Be sure and check out the entire article (there is some saucy language in the article).
P.S. That sewing hack is still holding strong!
