3 Crafts to Try Over Spring Break

I’m Spring Breaking with the family this week, which I know might feel like a late Spring Break for many of you. Better late than never! Our Spring Break here on the East Coast of the U.S. always coincides with Easter. Anyway, if you’re feeling crafty this week, here are 3 crafts to try over Spring Break.

I promise they are easy ones.

1) Paper Flowers | Details

Are you hosting an event this spring, such as a baby or wedding shower? These paper flowers look hard to make, but it’s really just cutting out petal shapes and gluing them together.

You can also string them together to make a garland. You can get the details on the garland here.

2) Leather Belt Tray | Details

I know everyone has a tray somewhere in their house that could stand a little makeover. A spring refresh, if you will.

I gave a tray a makeover with leather belts cut and glued to the bottom of the tray, but it doesn’t have to be belts. You could use a fabric scrap or a placemat. You could ModPodge on a pretty paper or printed napkin. Ticket stubs would be so fun to glue to the bottom of a tray. If you can get your hands on some pennies, you could epoxy them to the bottom of a tray.

Gosh. I need to stop brainstorming, or I might not have time for Spring Break. Ha!

3) Milk Can Table | Details

This one veers off of crafts and into DIY, but deviating from the plan is the perk of running your own website.

I’m including this milk can table because it is NOT a hard DIY, and this is one of my most popular posts on Pinterest.

All you need are some blocks of wood, screws, a wooden round, and a milk can to assemble your table. You don’t even have to mess with cutting your wood round because you can buy those precut.

I would not put a sundial on top if you want to maximize the usable surface area, but it is fun, so…choose wisely. I’ve kept ours outside on our covered front porch for years now, and it’s done just fine.

If you do anything crafty this week, even if it isn’t one of these, I’d love to see what you’re making. Not only can I cheer you on, but sharing is like brainstorming together!

Happy Spring!
