4th of July 2025 Break
Hi, Folks! This week I’m taking a blog break for the 4th of July holiday here in the U.S.
We have some fun activities planned. We have some projects to start and maybe finish. Basically, the usual!
However, we might get a little wild and not set our alarms in the morning. I’ll probably still wake up at the same time anyway because my brain is fun like that.
If you’d like something to read this week, please try one of these goodies from the archives.
For your architectural interest: In Praise of the Mansard Roof
You might have seen these if you visited Paris or the New England area.
For your historical interest: FDR’s Presidential Library
Franklin D. Roosevelt’s library is in New York state. It was fascinating, interactive, and a large part is dedicated to Eleanor’s role.
This might have been the only time my kids have interacted with a rotary phone!
For your culinary interests: Fresh Triple Berry Pie
A fresh berry pie, where the berries are NOT cooked, is a summer delight. It’s good with just strawberries too. I need to make this again.
For your crafty interests: DIY Wood Acorn Wreath
I keep this wreath up year round because I love it so much.
For a good laugh: Bird Nest in a Shoe
Everyone loves Handy Husband. Even birds. (But we still don’t talk about this. Hahahahaha!)
I hope you have a fantastic week.
If you have fun summer plans, I’d love to hear about them. You can always comment on this blog post, email me here, or reach out via Instagram or Facebook. Be sure to follow along with what we are up to on social media too. Thank you.
Happy 4th of July!
