Happy List: #184
Hello!
I hope your week has been full of unexpected delights!
This week on the blog I shared a very junky pumpkin I made from piano wire and a random assortment of other items. I had fun with that project.
I also shared our finished deck. We’re so glad to finally be able to check that one off our to-do list. Next week I’ll have an update for you on our small side deck. Yes, we have two decks and I wouldn’t say that means it is double the fun, but it IS double the work! So there’s that. I’m a bundle of realistic expectations today!
Now for the main event – this week’s Happy List!
BRIA HAMMEL’S GUEST BEDROOM
Bria Hammel’s guest bedroom is so dreamy.
That trim. The fluffy bedding.
I’m pretty sure I’ve shared this bedroom before, but it catches my eye every time she updates something in here.

VOTE SWEATSHIRT
I love this sweatshirt from Kindness Counts Co. on Etsy.
They can change the date to 1965 if you’d rather it reflect when the Voting Rights Act was passed that eliminated a bunch of voting restrictions.

IF WE WERE VAMPIRES
Just go with me on the title of this chill song because it actually has a lovely message about appreciating the moments you have with your loved one.
Here are some of my favorite lyrics:
We’d go out on the sidewalk and smoke
And laugh at all the lovers and their plans
I wouldn’t feel the need to hold your hand
Maybe time running out is a gift
I’ll work hard ’til the end of my shift
And give you every second I can find
And hope it isn’t me who’s left behind
Likely one of us will have to spend some days alone
Maybe we’ll get forty years together
But one day I’ll be gone
Or one day you’ll be gone

FALL WREATH
I love the idea of this wreath so much. The part of my soul that loves symmetry is saying, “YES!”
The part of my soul that knows my own version of this would never look this perfect has me saying, “Step away from the hot glue gun.”

If you’d like to make this wreath for me yourself, the tutorial can be found at Woman’s Day.
SPANISH-STYLE HOME
This is Rainn Wilson’s (of The Office fame) home. Wow.

TEA TIME
This story is sweet on so many levels.
PLASTIC PUMPKIN PLANTER
This is a great idea from Jennifer Rizzo to reuse those plastic trick-or-treat pumpkins.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
You would not go into an apple orchard and eat the weeds so why would you go into your day and feast on worries? – Pat McBride
Good point.
Thanks for reading The Happy List today!
As a reminder, you have a standing invitation to come check out what projects we are working on over on Facebook and Instagram!
Have a fantastic weekend! I’ll see you back here on Monday!
