Last Minute Father’s Day Gift Ideas – No Clothes On This List
Father’s Day is less than a week away. If you need a last-minute Father’s Day gift for the dad or father figures in your life, I’ve got you covered.
These are Handy Husband-approved items, so that means there are no clothes on this list. No neckties. No BBQ grilling items. No golf-related items.
What’s left that a dad could want? I’m so glad you asked. Check these out…
Rechargeable Jumper Cables | Walmart / Amazon
These rechargeable jumper cables that allow you to jump your car battery without needing another car have 127,000 reviews! We’ve owned these jumper cables for two years and have used them recently (yikes!) to get us out of a jam. Let’s hope that’s the last time we need them.
It’s one of those things where you don’t even want to have to use it, but you’re sure glad you have it when you need it. It can also charge devices.
Ribbon Digital Download | Etsy
This gift is instant and under 5 bucks at the moment. Download this watercolor ribbon digital file that comes in different sizes, two different colors, and with five saying options.
The download will include directions for how to add your own picture to the center. Then all you have to do is print it on nice paper and slap it in a frame.
(Handy Husband says to pick a different frame, though. Hahahahaha!)

Dashcam | Walmart / Amazon
Dashcams are becoming more common in these modern times.
We got Handy Husband a dashcam for Christmas because he commutes on the freeway and wants proof of the crazy things he sees, and heaven forbid, if he’s in an accident, the footage can help prove what happened.
Definitely get a dashcam that is wireless, like this one, as it makes installation easier. I can get this one overnight where I live, but double-check your delivery time.
Board Game of Dad’s Choice | Absolutely Free
We usually gift Handy Husband the opportunity to pick the board game of his choice to play with the family on Father’s Day, and no one is allowed to complain about it. (That’s key.)
Why would we complain under normal circumstances? He’s a hardcore board game aficionado, so he always picks the most complicated, hard-to-set-up, and time-consuming board games. Our children are more like me than him when it comes to the patience for this type of board game. Genetics. What are you going to do?
If the dad in your life is similar to Handy Husband, he has recommended these games before:
Terraforming Mars
Pandemic
The Quest for El Dorado
Century Golem Edition
Burgle Bros
P.S. We used to do a Father’s Day hike, which is also a great way to spend quality time. However, one year, Handy Husband got a tick bite on that hike, so he’s not willing to jinx it again. We can hike the day before or the day after, but never on Father’s Day, and we can’t call it a Father’s Day hike.
Handprint Flower Art | Etsy
I’m sneaking this one onto the list. Perk of being the sole proprietor of this establishment.
This is another digital download with a turnaround time of 24 hours because they are adding custom names to the stems. So, plan accordingly, and then you’ll need to print and add the handprints.
Or, you could recreate this yourself.

Rechargeable Headlamp | Amazon
If you’ve watched our social media stories earlier this year, you will have seen us wearing these headlamps. They are so much more comfortable and lightweight than the ones with the big light on the front, and they are rechargeable. Since they are silicone, I can wash them after they get dirty working on our stone foundation.
We also take them walking in the winter and hold them in our hands to light the sidewalk.

Clean His Car | Absolutely Free
If your kids are old enough, they can definitely give dad the gift of a clean car. Or, depending on the age of your kids, it might be a clean-ish car. Ha!
I don’t help with this endeavor because I clean enough around here, but I do make sure to have them restock his car with gum or mints, napkins, and an emergency snack for when he doesn’t have time for lunch.
Rechargeable Portable Tire Inflator | Walmart / Amazon
We keep a rechargeable tire inflator in Handy Husband’s car. It works on car tires, but also bike tires, wheelbarrow tires, balls, etc. This one has 32,000 reviews on Walmart and 27,000 reviews on Amazon, so you don’t need to take my word for it.
It’s a little bit of peace of mind that fits in your center console.
In terms of keeping things like this charged, I recommend either setting a calendar reminder or checking if they are charged when you clean your car.
TubShroom | Walmart / Amazon
This is not a gag gift. For the dad who lives with people with long hair and absolutely loathes dealing with a plugged shower drain, he will LOVE a TubShroom. I think Handy Husband got a little moisture in his eye when he realized just how well this thing works. I’m not exaggerating. He can’t stand dealing with a clogged drain.
The other night, he asked if they make the TubShroom for bathroom sinks, too.
I didn’t look because I’d say it works a little too well, as it needs to be cleaned out once a week at our house.
Razor Subscription | Harry’s Razors
Speaking of things that happen in the bathroom, Handy Husband has had a Harry’s razor subscription for at least ten years. He likes to tell the story that when he was a teenager, he had to work almost an hour to buy a razor because razors are expensive and the minimum wage was not great.
He has purposefully set the number of razors in his subscription to be higher than he needs so that he can stockpile razors to give to our son because he doesn’t want not being able to afford to shave to be one of the problems our son has to deal with.

Ergonomic Pillow | Amazon
Handy Husband will tell you that this ergonomic or cervical pillow has been life-changing for how he feels when he wakes up in the morning. He refuses to sleep on any of our regular pillows now.
If you want to create a sleep diva, then pair the pillow with a silk pillowcase. He’ll probably grumble at first. Then offer to take it back after the first night, and he will not want to give up that silk pillowcase. Ask me how I know. Hahaha!

P.S. Our entire family uses the silk pillowcases, but only Handy Husband and I use the cervical pillow. We use a standard-size pillowcase on the cervical pillow. We have the navy color.
Well, that’s our unconventional list of last-minute Father’s Day gifts.
For the most part, Handy Husband appreciates quality time, acts of service, and things that solve a problem. Oh, and pie. He definitely will not turn down pie.
Do you have plans for Father’s Day this year? I’d love to hear about them. You can comment here on this blog post, email me here, or reach out via direct message on Instagram or Facebook.
Happy early Father’s Day!
P.S. I’ve linked these things all in one place on our Amazon Storefront. You can check it out here.
