Happy List: #386
Hello, hello! It is delightful to see you here. Welcome! I hope you’ve had a decent week with more ups than downs. On the blog, it felt particularly jam-packed. I wrote about the quick curb appeal project of adding faux windows to our garage. What I love about this project beside the low cost was that when I change my mind (and I will), I can simply remove the window magnets and go about my day. No effort required to put it back to the way it was. I also wrote about the new-to-us drink table I placed next to the bench in our kitchen. I’ve noticed that the drink…

Hello! I’m thrilled to welcome you here on the first Happy List of April! January and February dragged by and then March was gone in the blink of an eye. Funny how that happens. This week on the blog I shared how I decorated wood bunnies to look like faux chocolate bunnies. It is so much fun to make Easter crafts. It’s almost as good as Christmas crafts. I also shared some fun gardening or outdoor-related finds I have my eye on for myself or for others. It’s not quite warm enough to simply hangout outside yet, but we’re getting close. I can feel it! In case this is your…

Hi! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. It’s so good to have you here. This week on the blog I shared my dreams to add a hidden door in our house. I had to write that blog post in order to manifest it. Think it will work? I also announced how we plan to use the remaining, unfinished part of our Carriage House. The good news is that we started work on this space this week. WOOHOO! You can follow along with that on Instagram stories and I’ll post occasional blog updates too. In case this is your first time here, I purposefully keep the Happy List focused on the…

Hello! Welcome all of you lovers of Spring! It’s is so good to see you here. We made it through winter and I don’t know about you, but I am definitely looking forward to the warmer and more colorful days of spring. This week on the blog I dusted off a post from the archive and shared my experiences visiting hardware stores in Ireland. I also shared the fun and maybe temporary addition to our sunporch. It has spring vibes, for sure, and I made it with my own two hands. I do enjoy making things! A special shout out and thank you to Diane from In My Own Style…

Hi! Happy early St. Patrick’s Day. I’m thrilled to see you here. This week on the blog I shared how I decorated our dining room fireplace for spring with paper flowers. Stay tuned for another related project on that front! I also shared the reveal, or TADA as I like to call it, of the peg rail in our bedroom. I’m really enjoying the visual interest it adds to the space. The Happy List is one of the ways I try to focus my media consumption on the things that inspire me instead of the things that raise my blood pressure. We all need balance. I also love, love, LOVE…

Hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List! I’m glad you’re here. We made it to March, folks! What a relief. Spring is coming. This week on the blog, I shared the Easter eggs I made with temporary tattoos. They are the prettiest Easter eggs I’ve ever crafted. I also was feeling optimistic about making it through the bulk of winter and shared how the plants I’ve been overwintering have fared. Mixed bag, folks. It was a mixed bag. The Happy List is one of the ways I try to focus on the beautiful and inspirational things in the world. It’s better for my mental health than doom-scrolling. Funny how that…

Hello, hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. I’m just tickled that you are here. This week on the blog, I shared the evolution of the gallery wall in our living room. It’s comprised of nature art and makes me feel like I’ve brought the outdoors in…minus the maintenance. I also wrote about wood knobs and pulls. You wouldn’t think anyone has much to say about this subject, but then there’s me. I love them in all their shapes and forms. The Happy List is one of the ways I try to focus on the beautiful and inspirational things in the world. It’s better for my mental health than doom-scrolling.…

Well, hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. I am so grateful you are here. This week on the blog I shared the cabinet we built to conceal our trash and recycling cans that have just been sitting willy nilly in our kitchen for years now. I also shared the Easter decor that is inspiring me this year. I was going to say “this spring,” but it’s not spring for another – checks calendar – month. *sigh* The Happy List is one of the ways I try to focus on the beautiful and inspirational things in the world. It’s better for my mental health than doomscrolling. Funny how that works!…

I shared the mini makeover I gave the desks in our office. It felt good to clean those things up and even add a little shine to them. I also shared the hilarious way I have been saved forever on the internet. Ah, good times! The Happy List is one of the ways I try to focus on the beautiful and inspirational things in the world. It’s better for my mental health than doomscrolling. Funny how that works!…
