Happy List: #209
Hello! I’m glad to welcome you here for this week’s Happy List. This week on the blog I shared the five categories of kitchen art and the one thing I never mentioned to my kids about refrigerators. I also published a snarky, but helpful guide to wallpaper removal. One of you asked for this blog post minus the snarky part and I’d like to think I delivered on that request. I think the moral of this story is be careful what you ask of me! Here’s your weekly reminder: if you want to see us take forever to update a bathroom or see Handy Husband working his DIY magic, then…

Hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List. I’m glad you are here. This week on the blog I shared an update on how our built-in computer desks are working out for our family. I will say this, we built them just in the nick of time! I also shared the sad and somewhat embarrassing pictures of our current device charging station. It’s a hot mess, but I have an idea on how to improve it. Some of the ideas that don’t make it on the blog I share on social media stories. I hope we are connected either on Facebook or Instagram and I would love, LOVE, LOVE IT if you’d…
Happy List: #207
Hello and Good Friday greetings to you! I hope you are looking forward to the weekend. This week on the ol’ blog I provided an update on how the mini makeover we gave our kitchen last year is holding up. I fully believe in the power of mini makeovers. It is time and money well spent to enjoy the home you live in right now. If a little bit of paint and stain will do that for you, then go for it! As much as I’d like our home improvement journey to be as quick as an episode on HGTV, that’s not our real life. So, thank you for following…
Happy List: #206
Hello and welcome to the Happy List! I hope the first week of spring has put a bounce in your step, the happy in your go lucky, and the cherry on top of your sundae. I’m feeling pretty good about it. This week on the blog I shared the before pictures of our upstairs bathroom. It will be better when we are done with it, but don’t expect a full makeover or anything. We don’t have plans to do anything with the blue shower right now besides hide it behind a curtain. I also shared my favorite new centerpiece filled with flowers! I hope you liked it too. If you…
Happy List: #205
Hello and welcome to this week’s Happy List! March sure is flying by, isn’t it? Did you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? We always do something small to mark the day, but we do miss being able to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in person with our friends in Ireland. When we moved to Ireland (we were there two years), my kids were dismayed to realize that Lucky Charms cereal was not an Irish thing. One of the grocery stores I shopped at did import it from time to time. It was stocked in the sweets aisle and a box cost between $8 and $10! I didn’t buy it. This week on the blog was…

Welcome to the Happy List! For most of us in the U.S., we get to move the clocks ahead this weekend. That means more daylight in the evening and I am here for it! This week I shared my Board Game Coasters and my hack for adding brass leg tips to furniture! If you missed those posts, I’ll wait right here while you catch up. If you aren’t following along with us on Instagram or Facebook, that’s where all the spontaneous projects occur! Last weekend a boring wallpaper removal project quickly spiraled into us finding out that we have a brick exterior wall…or at least a partial brick exterior wall. Now, here is the…

Welcome to this week’s Happy List. Whether you are a regular reader or new to this blog, I am glad you are here. This week on the ol’ blog I shared a wood bowl makeover. A little bit of sanding goes a long way toward updating wood thrift store bowls. I also shared an easy St. Patrick’s Day Centerpiece that you can enjoy the entire month of March because it won’t go bad! Once again, here is my shameless plug for you to join me on Instagram or Facebook. I love to connect with you here and there. Please keep in mind that I’m better about responding to Instagram messages over Facebook…

Hello! Welcome to this week’s Happy List! I’m glad you are here. This week was a fun one on the blog! At least it was a fun one for me because I love sharing projects! I wrote about a vinyl tile pedestal stand we created and a glazed terracotta pot makeover. Both of those DIY projects get a lot of daily use around these parts. Once again, here is my shameless plug for you to join me on Instagram or Facebook. I love to connect with you here and there. Please keep in mind that I’m not on Facebook much, but I am all over those Instagram messages. Now, here’s the Happy List. Enjoy!STATEMENT MAKING…
Happy List: #201
Welcome to the Happy List! How has your week been? I hope it has been fantastic. This week on the blog I shared some organizing tricks that work for our household. I share stuff like that purely to spread ideas. For every organized space in our home, I have another space that could use some organizational love. I also shared the best constructive criticism I’ve ever received. If you missed that post, the constructive criticism did not come from my kids on how to better cook chicken nuggets. Hahaha! Once again, here is my shameless plug for you to join me on Instagram or Facebook. I love to connect with…

Welcome to the Happy List all you lovebirds! Ready for Valentine’s Day? It’s not a big holiday in our house, but I will use it as an excuse to order takeout! This week on the blog I shared the leather belt tray I made and love with all my heart and soul. I styled it differently for the blog post, but it ended up in my son’s room on top of his bookcase. I also shared a bunch of cool art I found for big kid rooms…or for the kid in all of us. Speaking of art of a sort, the wood heart magnets at the top of this post were made by my…
